This weekend 'The Town' takes #1 in the boxoffice

This weekend the movie 'The Town' directed and also starring Ben Affleck is a classic bank robbery movie about a man Doug MacRay (Affleck) is the leader of his bank robbing group. These people are the people that are closest to Doug and he never wants to lose them. Although during one of their jobs Doug sees a girl and it changes everything. After kidnapping her and later letting her go. Doug gets close to this woman and ends up having deep feelings for her. Going through these events they end up on a dangerous path that could quite possibly get them killed. This movie comes in with over 23 million dollars.

The next movie that I am going to talk about is the underrated teen flick 'Easy A'. The critics actually loved this movie and highly recommended it. This movie is about a girl named Olive and after her best friend asks her to sleep with her to stop getting teased at school, rumors spread like wild fire. The next day at her very clean school she is being harassed by her classmates. During this movie Olive is ironically learning about the book 'The Scarlet Letter'. Olive is currently living the same life as Hester in the book. This movie comes in over 17 million dollars.
The last movie I am going to talk about for this week is the thriller by M. Night Shyamalan's Devil. The Devil was actually not that bad of movie according to the critics. The movie has a basic story. The movie shows 5 people getting trapped in an elevator and one of them is not as what they appear. Through the whole movie weird thing start happening in the elevator and they end up trying to find out who the 'Devil' is. The movie was a great suspense.

  1. Great descriptions of each film. Except in your description of "The Town" what people are you talking about being close to Doug. Does the movie become more focused on the robberies or the girl, and what events are the characters going through. In the description of "Easy A", what is the real connection of olive and the book "The Scarlet Letter"? How is olive living the same life as Hestor. In the description of "Devil", what did some critics say about the film to make it look bad? What actually set apart your opinion from the critic's?
