Last week The American and this Week Resident Evil

Many interesting movies have released in the past few weeks. There were three recent movies that have taken attention. First I am going to talk about 'The American'. The American is suppose to reflect a classic type espionage film. The movie is about an assassin named Jack who like every spy/assassin is always on the move and is alone. Jack's life takes a turn when one of his jobs does not go as planned and he has to stay in hiding. Jack then gets comfortable and seems to be free of danger but, he maybe getting to comfortable and must watch himself.
The next movie I am going to talk about is Machete. Machete is a mercenary from the army in Mexico. After a drug lord has captured and murdered his family in front of him, Machete becomes devastated and decides to live as a day laborer in the U.S. When he becomes hired to assassinate a very important senator he discovers bigger plans. Then he finds out that the people who hired him was the drug lord who killed his family.
The third and final film I will talking about in this post is Resident Evil: Afterlife. This movie based of the cult classic video games has become a successful movie franchise. Also taking in that it has come in this weekend with over 26 million dollars. Most people are probably interested in how much the 3-D comes into play in this movie. Resident Evil takes place as it left off with the world being overrun by zombies becomes the notorious Umbrella Corporation. Alice, a product of Umbrella is fighting back and in this movie seems to be getting closer. During the movie Alice gains help from her old friends and new. This movie comes with many twists and plenty of 3-D Action.

The Last Exorcism takes top spot and a new movie enters the Billion dollar club

This weekend had two movies that stood over the rest. Those two movies were The Last Exorcism and Takers. First I am going to talk about The Last Exorcism which was horror/thriller about a reverend coming to Louisiana to perform what he thinks is a routine exorcism. The man who called in the Reverend is a religious fanatic and truly believes her daughter is possessed. This movie came in with 21.3 million dollars.

The movie that comes in number 2 this week is Takers. Takers is about a organized crime group that is really good at their jobs.  They are all precise and accurate while leaving no trace of evidence. The group tries to pull off one last job but, it becomes risky when a detective is very serious on solving this case and catching these criminals. The movie contains a supposed can't miss cast and has pulled in 21 million dollars this weekend.

On a different topic I am going to talk about a movie that has just crossed an amazing feat. The movie is Toy Story 3 and it has just entered into the 1 billion dollar club meaning that this movie has accumulated over a billion dollars world wide. Only 6 other movies have reached this feat and they are: The Dark Knight, Alice in Wonderland (2010), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King, Titanic, and Avatar. Toy Story 3 was one of the most heart warming movies you will see. It is about a boy named Andy and when he was young he loved his toys. Now his toys are feeling unwanted and are trying to get Andy's attention anyway they can. Now that they feel this way they go through many trials and tribulation looking for a place where they feel wanted and needed. To learn more about the movie you will just have to watch it for yourself. This movies is one of the biggest release of all time.
